In 2012 Joe Anderson Jr., founder of Anderson Columbia Inc, had a desire to create a place where youth could enjoy adventure, connect with nature, and connect with God. Joe and his children invested in the old KOA campground along the Suwannee River, developing a Christian Campground called Camp Anderson Anchored. The campground offers wholesome Christian activities for youth, churches and special groups of all ages. Many churches have sent young people to the camp and many thousands have found Jesus. Many other children who for various reasons don't have parents and are being cared for by the State of Florida have been participants in the camp and have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Mr. Joe passed away in 2016 but his vision and heart live on in the work at Camp Anderson Anchored.

The Lord led my family and I to Camp Anderson Anchored in August 2023 after 20 years in local church ministry. As a pastor I brought groups to Camp Anderson and fell in love with the location and sensed God's presence while here. It is my prayer that you will do the same! I know the challenges that come with planning your own camps or retreats; let us partner with you to share the load.
